Jose “Yusuf” Vidal Valdes

Meet our Political Director, Jose “Yusuf” Vidal Valdes. Originally from Chile, Yusuf now calls the southwest suburbs home, where he lives with his wife, Arifa, and their two sons.

Prior to joining All United as Political Director, he served as Chief of Staff in the Office of State Representative Abdelnasser Rashid, where he led the office, helped develop legislative priorities, and worked to best serve the 21st District. He currently is an advisor to Rep. Rashid. Previously, Yusuf was Senior Director of Policy & Engagement for the Office of MWRD Commissioner Eira Corral Sepúlveda. He spearheaded policy research and stakeholder engagement in this capacity, focusing on expanding affirmative action initiatives. His efforts included securing funding for a Mentor-Protege program, creating a Small Business Enterprise program, and establishing a Diversity Advisory Council, to name a few.

Beyond his governmental roles, Yusuf has led impactful political campaigns, notably as Campaign Manager for Rashid for Illinois, which resulted in electing the first Palestinian-American to the Illinois General Assembly. Before this, he worked for electoral organizations like the Illinois Muslim Civic Coalition Activate and Empower Southwest, dedicating his efforts to organizing and empowering historically disenfranchised communities for active political participation.

Yusuf also served as the Midwest Organizing & Partnerships Manager at Young Invincibles where he advocated for expanding healthcare access, increasing need-based aid for higher education, and securing funding for diverse and equitable workforce opportunities for young adults throughout Illinois.

Yusuf has served on various boards, including as Cook County Director for the Young Democrats of Illinois, Chair of the Board of Trustees for MSA West, and Advisory Board Member for The National Alliance to Advance Adolescent Health. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and a Master of Arts from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago. He also spent a year abroad studying Political Science and Government at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Currently, Yusuf is a 2025 Leadership Academy Fellow with the Chicago Latino Caucus Foundation (CLCF), a program dedicated to developing the next generation of leaders across public and private sectors by building a strong talent pipeline.

Deliah Odeh is the Campaigns Director for All United, where she brings her passion for social change and advocacy for underrepresented communities to the forefront. With extensive experience in political campaigns and grassroots organizing, Deliah has dedicated her career to addressing the critical issues facing underserved populations.

Before joining All United, Deliah served in the office of Congressman Jesús “Chuy” García, focusing on constituent outreach and services. She also played a key role as Field Director for Abdelnasser Rashid’s historic campaign, which led to the election of the first Palestinian-American to the Illinois General Assembly. Her commitment to impactful political work extends to her involvement in other high-profile campaigns, including the Chuy for Chicago Mayoral Campaign.

Deliah earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and her Master’s in Public Policy from DePaul University, equipping her with a strong foundation for her work in policy and advocacy.

A firm believer that true leadership lies in empowering others, Deliah is passionate about mentoring and providing the next generation of leaders with the tools they need to succeed. To her, "Power to the People" is not just a slogan but a core belief—one that underscores her commitment to strengthening democracy by amplifying the voices of everyday people.

Nadia Ali is a lifelong resident of Orland Park, where she has lived for over 35 years. Deeply rooted in the community, Nadia is a devoted wife and mother who has raised her three children in Orland Park, just as she herself grew up here. Her children attend the same public schools that shaped her own education, giving her a deep appreciation for the area’s strong sense of community and commitment to supporting our schools.

Professionally, Nadia is a dedicated real estate agent with Village Realty. Beyond her professional work, Nadia is an active community member who values giving back to the town that has given her so much. Her lifelong connection to Orland Park fuels her drive to make a positive impact, ensuring it remains a wonderful place for families to live, grow, and thrive.
